47 balls qualify: 16 earned through secret objectives, 12 earned through daily streaks, 8 earned in the Challenge store, and 11 score balls carried all the way to their highest tier. Paid balls are excluded on purpose, so nobody can buy their way closer.
The highest streak ball needs 100 consecutive days of play. Streak shields can buy back a short lapse, but only within seven days of the first day missed. A longer absence resets the run to zero.
Each of the 11 score balls has four stages, reached at 5, 10, 15 and 20 rounds finishing at that exact score. All eleven must reach the final gold stage. This is the hardest requirement and the one that makes the Golden Ball a multi-year pursuit.
Following TallyHo on Instagram and TikTok is checked once, at the moment of claim. Anyone who completes everything without following gets 48 hours to fix it.
Every requirement is verified on TallyHo's servers from data the game already records, never from anything your device reports. A completed claim is reviewed by a human before any prize is paid.
The fastest possible run is limited by the calendar, not by skill. One objective requires playing across all four real-world seasons, and the streak ladder alone takes 100 days. Carrying all eleven score balls to gold takes considerably longer than that. Treat this as a multi-year pursuit with no deadline: slower players are never eliminated, only later.

They stay secret on purpose. Discovery is part of the game, so TallyHo publishes how many objectives there are and what completing them requires overall, but never the objectives themselves. Each one reveals a cryptic hint in the game when you tap it.
The environmental fund is donated anyway. It is a separate pot that never pays the winner, it grows by $1,000 every year the prize goes unclaimed, and TallyHo donates it every 7 September regardless. In a year with no winner, players vote on which environmental charity receives it.

Anyone with a free TallyHo account, subject to the official rules. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent for both eligibility and payment. The contest is void where prohibited, and Quebec and Italy are excluded. The winner is responsible for their own taxes.
